Job summary

LeafSpring School at Matthews is seeking a qualified School Chef for a part-time role at our Matthews campus. You will oversee daily food preparation, ensure adherence to the menu, manage inventories, and support family-style dining while maintaining high sanitation standards.

The ideal candidate has minimum two years of kitchen cooking experience, CPR/First Aid certifications, and safe food service certification.

Qualifications

• Two-year minimum of food service cooking experience.
• Maintains safe food service certification.
• CPR certification or obtains within six months.
• First Aid certification or obtains within six months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve snacks and lunches as scheduled.
• Manage family style dining and allergies.
• Stock and organize kitchen items; rotate stock using FIFO.
• Plan menus with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
• Ensure sanitation and health standards at all times.
• Assist in new staff orientation on food service.
