Job summary

Amory School District Central Office is seeking an IT Technician to perform on-site technical work across district sites. The role covers troubleshooting, installation, and repair of servers and technology equipment throughout the district.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or networking certification and strong cross-OS troubleshooting skills, with a focus on user support, Chromebook/Google Workspace experience, and a professional, dependable work attitude.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or networking cert required or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with Linux, Mac, and Windows operating systems.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• Hardware/software troubleshooting knowledge.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Networking certifications (A+/CCNA/Security+) preferred.
• Experience supporting hardware/software in educational environments.
• Experience with Chromebooks, Google Workspace for Education, Jamf, Azure, FreePBX a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely technical support to staff and students.
• Troubleshoot and repair desktops, laptops, printers, projectors and interactive boards.
• Setup and maintenance of student and staff devices (iPads, Windows/Mac).
• Support VOIP and Camera systems.
• Maintain district networks, wired and wireless infrastructure.
• Install and maintain network devices and CAT6 cabling.
• Diagnose and repair damaged hardware; manage spare parts inventory.
• Document diagnostics, procedures and parts used; ensure safe procedures.
