Job summary

Pueblo School District 60 is seeking a Health Technician to support student health services across campuses. The role provides clerical support to the school nurse and delivers medical and procedural assistance to students under qualified supervision.

The successful candidate will hold a CNA/MA/EMT/LPN certification, a high school diploma, and have experience with children in school or health programs. The position is non-exempt, 165-day work year, with benefits as per Schedule B.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA/MA/EMT/LPN certification required.
• 6 months experience with children, schools, or health programs.
• First Aid and CPR certifications with recertification within 60 days of hire.
• Background check clearance by HR.
• English communication proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assists in meeting basic health needs of children.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certifications and follow procedures to respond to emergencies.
• Administer first aid to sick and injured children.
• Dispense medications and deliver delegated care activities.
• Notify parents and teachers of illness or injury and document communications.
• Follow reporting procedures for suspected child abuse/neglect.
• Assist with vision and hearing screening and data entry.
• Maintain health office records and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the school nurse and staff on health matters.
• Prepare medications and first aid supplies for field trips.
• Complete ongoing training as required.
