Job summary

Pueblo School District 60 is hiring a Health Technician to support student health services in our schools. This role provides clerical support to the school nurse and hands-on health assistance to students as delegated by the nurse.

Qualified candidates will hold a High School Diploma or equivalent, a current CNA/MA/EMT/LPN, and CPR/First Aid certifications, with experience in health-related settings. This onsite position requires effective English communication and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CNA/MA/EMT/LPN certification is required.
• At least 6 months experience with children, schools, or health programs.
• First Aid and CPR certifications must be current and recertified within 60 days of hire.
• Background check through HR must be cleared.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting basic health needs of students.
• Administer first aid and respond to emergencies.
• Dispense medications and deliver delegated care per nurse instructions.
• Communicate illness/injury to parents and school nurse, and document communications.
• Maintain health records and health office documentation.
• Assist with health screenings and data entry.
