Job summary

Pueblo School District 60 is seeking a School Nurse to oversee the health needs of students, develop and implement health care plans, and ensure compliance with health regulations. You will serve as a resource to staff and families, coordinate mandated health screenings, and support students’ academic success through health services.

The role requires a BSN, 2 years nursing experience, and an active Colorado RN license with School Nurse certification; CPR/First Aid/AED certification is required.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional nursing experience.
• Current license and certification required by the State of Colorado to practice as a Registered Nurse and Colorado Department of Education School Nurse; Certification upon employment or within 12 months of employment if new graduate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the health needs of students and develop health care plans.
• Identify health issues and refer for follow-up and treatment.
• Train and supervise unlicensed personnel for medication administration and nursing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal health laws and coordinate with teachers and families.
