Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a dedicated health services assistant to administer first aid, medication administration, and emergency care for students and staff. This role supports district policies and collaborates with nursing staff to ensure student safety.

Responsibilities include emergency assessment, documentation of care, and maintaining confidential health records. Requires CMA or EMT I certification with CPR, immunization knowledge, and strong communication with families and school

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or EMT 1 with CPR.
• Working knowledge of immunization requirements per state law.
• Typing ability and basic computer skills; Synergy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer first aid, medication administration, and emergency care per district policy.
• Assess emergencies, prioritize care, and provide rapid interventions.
• Monitor patients for side effects of medications and document responses.
• Maintain health records and ensure confidentiality.
• Coordinate with nurses, teachers, and parents; complete required reporting.
