Job summary

ISD 728 seeks a Health Services Assistant for Otsego Elementary to provide health services to students and staff, under supervision of the Licensed School Nurse and Site Principal. The role includes administering medications, maintaining records, and supporting immunization enforcement.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, current First Aid and CPR certifications, and the ability to work with a diverse school community.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED is required.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Current CPR certification including AED.
• Ability to use medical equipment.
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to work overtime including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform first aid, emergency care and illness interventions according to District policies.
• Administer medications to students as per physician orders and parent authorization.
• Assist in prevention and control of communicable diseases and immunization enforcement.
• Maintain health records and emergency information in the student information system.
• Record all health incident reports and process health documents.
