Job summary

Qualifications

• Current license as a registered professional nurse in the state.
• Certification as a school nurse or working toward this certification where required by state law.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a complete, up-to-date health record system using available technology.
• Plans and conducts screenings, examinations, and health appraisals in accordance with state law and CSUSA policy.
• Monitors newly enrolled students to ensure compliance with health-related state and district requirements.
• Advises and counsels students, staff, and parents on health issues.
• Provides input to administration on health policy implementation.
• Provides first aid and supports emergency care as needed.
• Administers medication in accordance with state law and CSUSA policy.
• Communicates with parents/guardians and health-related organizations as needed.
