Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is looking for a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support to patients. This part-time role requires a High School Diploma and completion of an approved Medical Assistant Certificate Program.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical terminology and experience in Microsoft Office. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations and accurate documentation of care.

Basic Life Support certification is required, and the position is onsite in Akron, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant Certificate Program or equivalent is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
• No prior experience is required, but certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for patients.
• Communicate patient findings to the Provider and/or Licensed Nurse.
• Prepare patients for examination and administer medications as required.
