Job summary

Pinon Unified School District is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to support student health services on campus. The role involves direct care for students, medication administration, and maintaining health records in a busy school health office.

The ideal candidate will hold Arizona CNA certification, CPR/First Aid, and have strong communication and detail-oriented skills to ensure safe, coordinated care for students with diverse health needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid certification as a Nurse Assistant in the state of Arizona.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others to promote student health and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and assistance to students with physical, emotional, and/or developmental needs
• Administering medication and treatments to students in accordance with healthcare plans and protocols
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date health records for all students at the school
• Communicating with parents, teachers, and other school personnel regarding student health needs, treatment plans, and progress
• Providing health education and support to students and families as needed
• Monitoring and managing inventory of medical supplies and equipment
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as school nurses and physicians, to ensure coordinated care for students
