Job summary

Pinon Unified School District is seeking a Health Aide to join our team. The Health Aide will assist students with health, safety, and well-being to maintain a healthy learning environment.

Responsibilities include administering first aid, monitoring health, maintaining health records, coordinating with families and professionals, and supporting a safe school environment. Training staff on first aid and emergency procedures is also expected.

Qualifications

• A. A. Degree or 60 semester hours or have passed Arizona State Approved Para-Professional Exam.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent program.
• Experience in working with students with disabilities.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Administer first aid and other necessary medical attention to students and staff.
• Monitor student health during school hours
• Manage and maintain student health records
• Coordinate with parents and healthcare professionals as necessary
• Assist with maintaining a clean and healthy school environment
• Administer medication according to established procedures
• Train staff as needed on basic first aid and emergency procedures
