Job summary

Littleton Public Schools seeks a Temporary Health Assistant Paraprofessional to support sick/injured students, manage immunization records, and assist with medications under the supervision of the school nurse.

Responsibilities include documenting clinic visits, maintaining supplies, coordinating with parents, and helping implement Health Care Action Plans. Requires CPR/First Aid certification and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications required.
• Medication and universal precautions training/certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Create immunization records in the District's student information database and update and follow-up with non-compliant students.
• Provide appropriate and timely care to sick and/or injured students.
• Monitor and support implementation of Health Care Action Plans.
• Document on the clinic register all students who visit and leave the clinic.
• Contact parents/emergency contacts as needed to arrange for student pick-up if necessary.
• Administer and document medications to students.
• Input data into the District's student information database regarding students who leave the school sick.
• Compile and update medications consent forms and send to area nurse.
• Maintain adequate supplies in clinic; order supplies as needed.
