Tucson Unified School District is seeking a Health Assistant at Hudlow Elementary School to provide health and clerical support to the school nurse, ensuring a safe and efficient health office and a healthy learning environment for students and staff.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid/AED certification, English communication skills, and basic dosage and vital signs knowledge. Fingerprint clearance, immunization proof, and orientation are required.

Formación

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Current CPR, First Aid and AED Certification from an in-person provider.
• Verbal & written communication skills in English.
• Competency in pre-algebraic skills for dosage calculations and vital signs conversions.
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Proof of immunity to measles and rubella, or MMR immunization.
• Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.
• Must release Social Security Number to be eligible for AHCCS-Provider ID Number.
• Health Services orientation/training.
• One year of experience in a health care setting or school health preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide health and clerical support to the school nurse.
• Ensure efficient and safe operation of the school health office.
• Maintain a healthy and productive learning environment for students and staff.
• Work under supervision and delegation of the licensed school nurse, adhering to laws and policies.
• Assist with health office processes and student safety as needed.
