Job summary

INDIAN TRAIL in Canal Winchester, Ohio is seeking an Aide - Medical Assistant (MA) to support the school health clinic. The role requires completing a Medical Assisting program and may prefer CMA/RMA certification.

You will work under the District School Nurse to provide essential student health services and maintain accurate health records. Responsibilities include basic first aid, health screenings, immunization record maintenance, and collaboration with staff to ensure a safe health

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assisting program required; CMA/RMA preferred.
• Valid Ohio Department of Education Permit appropriate for the assignment.
• Medical knowledge, training in basic healthcare procedures, first aid, and student health services.
• Accurate recordkeeping and documentation skills required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• CPR certification with AED training and first aid competency.
• Ability to work with students of varying ages and medical needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic first aid and initial care to students within training and district protocols.
• Support a healthy, safe, and supportive school environment for all students and staff.
• Assist with student health screening and clinic intake, refer to nurse as needed.
• Coordinate and assist with health screenings as prescribed by state health authority.
• Maintain student health records, immunization documentation, and clinic reports.
• Prepare and distribute district-approved health materials for staff and families.
• Maintain confidential student health information in compliance with FERPA/HIPAA.
