Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking an Aide - Medical Assistant (MA) to support student health services in a school setting in Ohio. The role requires medical assisting training, basic first aid, and strong documentation skills.

You will work closely with the District School Nurse and Building Principal to maintain a safe, healthy clinic environment. The position emphasizes confidentiality, adherence to district policies, and ongoing professional development in school health services.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program required; CMA/RMA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Valid Ohio Department of Education Permit appropriate for the assignment.
• Medical knowledge, experience, and training in basic healthcare procedures and first aid.
• Accurate recordkeeping and documentation skills required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic first aid and initial care to students per district protocols.
• Support a healthy, safe school environment for all students and staff.
• Assist with student health screenings and clinic intake, refer urgent cases as needed.
• Coordinate health screenings scheduled by the Ohio Department of Health and document results.
• Assist with vision, hearing, growth, and other health screenings as needed.
• Maintain student immunization records and required health information for reporting.
• Review immunization records for compliance and notify parents of missing doses.
• Prepare and maintain accurate student health records and clinic reports.
• Provide support for students with various medical needs under the District School Nurse.
• Assist with individualized healthcare plans and emergency action plans as directed.
• Maintain clinic supplies, PPE, and order as needed.
• Communicate professionally with staff and families about health concerns.
