Job summary

Central Ohio Primary Care seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to support clinical teams in a fast-paced primary care setting in Gahanna, OH. You will assist with patient intake, room preparation, and vitals, while performing injections and specimen collection.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program is required.
• MA certification is preferred.
• GXMO license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the clinical care team to deliver the best care for patients.
• Assist in setting up treatment rooms and preparing patients for exams.
• Administer injections and perform routine specimen collection and point-of-care tests.
• Perform blood draws and specimen processing as directed.
• Record vital signs and document in the patient’s EHR.
• Explain test results and patient education materials to patients.
• Process referrals, prior authorizations or pre-certifications as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
