Qualifications

• Basic education requirement: high school diploma or equivalent.
• General experience: 1 year plus supervision of others, ability to work with people.
• Specialized experience: basic health knowledge and PC/data processing skills.

• Certification: first aid and CPR required at time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Administers emergency first aid to ill or injured students.
• Measures temperature and monitors health of students in health room.
• May administer medications under guidelines and approvals.
• Contacts guardians about student illness or injury as needed.
• Performs health screening tests and assists in health surveys.
• Maintains health records and coordinates with school health staff.
