Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking a Clinical Aide to support the School Nurse in the Health Services program. You will administer first aid, manage medications under nurse direction, and help maintain student health records and immunization data.

The role requires Heartsaver + AED CPR and First Aid certifications, with duties including vision/hearing screenings and AED maintenance. Work is on-site in a school health office environment.

Qualifications

• Education and experience: Any related experience demonstrating the ability to perform duties.
• Licenses/certificates: Heartsaver + AED CPR and Standard First Aid certificates are required or must be obtained within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid to injured or ill students following policies; administer CPR in emergencies.
• Assist students with physician-prescribed medications under nurse direction; perform delegable nursing procedures.
• Support the School Nurse; conduct basic vision and hearing screenings; monitor immunization records.
• Update and maintain student health records; input health data into the database under nurse direction.
• Maintain health office cleanliness, supply levels, and AED checks.
• Assist with daily routines and communicate health policies to students, families, and staff.
