Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks a Clinical Aide to support school health services under the supervision of the School Nurse. The role includes administering first aid, assisting with medications, maintaining health records, and communicating health updates to families and staff.

Candidates must obtain Heartsaver AED CPR and First Aid cards within 30 days and be able to perform duties in a fast-paced school environment. The position is based at Washoe Inspire Academy.

Qualifications

• Heartsaver + AED CPR card required; ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Standard First Aid certification required or able to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Renders first aid to injured or ill students following district policies and AHAs/ARC standards; administers CPR in emergencies.
• Assists with physician-prescribed, parent-approved medications under nurse direction.
• Maintains student health records and inputs data into the health database.
• Supports nurse with screenings and health-related administrative duties.
