Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma (prefer EMT/CNA/RN certification).
• Current CPR/AED certification and standard first aid card required.
• Knowledge of student behavior and basic office methods and computer skills.
• Ability to keep accurate records and files.
• Professional telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Provide health office coverage in the absence of the regular health assistant.
• Administer first aid and emergency care for students and staff.
• Document student visits, treatments, and communications with parents/guardians.
• Maintain confidentiality of student health records and information.
• Support the health needs of students as directed by the school nurse or administrator.
• Perform clerical duties related to health services as needed.
• Adapt to different school sites, routines, and needs as assignments change.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
