Chartwells K12 is hiring a Food Unit Lead in Rochester, MI for Rochester Community Schools. This full-time role oversees dining operations, coordinates staff, and ensures quality service to students and visitors.

Shifts are 6:00 am–2:00 pm or 7:00 am–3:00 pm, Monday–Friday, with no evenings or weekends. Prior food service and supervisory experience is required. The position offers a fixed pay rate of $20.00 per hour and benefits per Chartwells K12 and Compass Group policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service by giving one-on-one attention to detail.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
• Trains employees; assigns and coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence.
• Determines work procedures; prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.
• Uses systems for daily/weekly/monthly reports (inventory, payroll, timekeeping).
• Responsible for proper cash handling as established by policy.
• Orders food and supplies from approved sources.
• Directs sanitation and safety of the facility and staff; maintains sanitation schedule.
