Job summary

Chartwells K12 is hiring a full-time Food Unit Lead in Ann Arbor, MI. The role coordinates activities of other food-service staff and creates an enjoyable dining experience for students and staff.

You will supervise food preparation, assist with menus, manage schedules, and ensure sanitation and safety compliance in a dynamic school dining program. The position offers full-time hours, a 6:00 am–2:30 pm schedule, and a pay range of $20.00–$21.00 per hour with opportunities for internal referrals

Qualifications

• Prior leadership/management experience preferred.
• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Oversees food preparation and service to meet company standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of other food-service employees.
• Creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.
• Oversees preparation and service of food and beverages per standards.
• Trains employees and assigns work to promote efficiency and excellence.
• Manages schedules, reports, and cash handling according to policies.
• Maintains sanitation and safety of facility and staff.
• Assists in menu planning and inventory management.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service and proper portion control.
