Job summary

The Nutrition Group in York, PA, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day school food service operations and ensure compliance with USDA and district policies. You will oversee HACCP processes, inventory, training, and interactions with the client to ensure quality and safety across breakfast and lunch programs.

Responsibilities include managing production records, coordinating with Kitchen Managers on orders, and supporting special events, while reporting to the operations director

Qualifications

• Oversee food service operations in a school setting
• Ensure compliance with USDA/DoE policies and The Nutrition Group standards
• Manage labor utilization, safety, and quality control

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site program operations.
• Ensure HACCP logs are completed.
• Maintain clean and safe kitchen environments.
• Follow menu/recipes to The Nutrition Group standards.
• Review production records and submit orders.
• Provide on-the-spot training when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines for breakfast and lunch.
• Assist in inventory control and month-end counts.
• Complete inspections and observations as required by client.
• Report sales fluctuations to the operations director.
• Meet weekly with the operations director for updates.
• Assist in executing events and promotions.
• Input end-of-month inventory (USDA and Purchased).
• Organize kitchen paperwork and rosters; maintain clear upward/downward communications.
