Job summary

Red Rabbit is seeking a Food Service Coordinator, in-school, to support meal preparation and service across partner schools. The role reports to the Head Chef and works with a 5–8 person team to ensure meals are delivered on time with dignity.

The ideal candidate brings strong kitchen expediting and administrative skills, plus the ability to work closely with both kitchen teams and school partners, contributing to a mission-driven program that serves diverse communities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in an operational or administrative role supporting cross-functional teams.
• 1+ year in a customer-facing role preferred
• Proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple projects; experience with schools and/or food service is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to social justice and equality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure meals are served on time in compliant portions daily.
• Maintain a clean and presentable service line, uplifting the students with dignity.
• Proactively share information between teams to keep operations running smoothly.
• Identify and resolve potential conflicts or 'collision points' to maintain workflow.
• Maintain operational systems and databases, ensuring data accuracy and meal compliance.
• Create accountability checks to ensure consistent data management.
• Address day-to-day concerns with school partners and keep leadership informed.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to solve same-day operational issues.
• Other duties as assigned
