Qualifications

• Current TB test is required.
• Food Handlers Certification is required.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Accurately count, weigh, and measure.
• Follow instructions and take initiative in tasks.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, and squat as needed.
• Lift a minimum of 51 pounds to 33 inches occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Interact with staff, students, and visitors in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Portion foods into appropriate quantities per recipe or as instructed.
• Assist with food preparation using listed techniques (chopping, dicing, mixing, slicing).
• Wash pots, pans, and other items using dish machine or sink.
• Place menu items on serving line and assemble serving utensils.
• Monitor food temperatures and report unsafe temperatures to supervisor.
• Serve food according to recipe portions or instructions.
• Disassemble serving line and clean serving area.
• Discard or store leftovers properly.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and safety procedures.
• Remove garbage and replace bags.
