North Slope Borough School District is seeking a Food Service Assistant to help prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks while ensuring student, staff and visitor health. You will participate in meal production, storage, cleanup and safety tasks, and operate food service equipment to deliver meals to school sites.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read procedures, respond clearly, and solve practical problems.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to present information clearly to supervisors, staff, students and the public.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures, policies, and safety instructions.
• Current Alaska Driver’s License.
• Iñupiaq language and culture experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in production and service of school meals.
• Assist in storage, cleanup and safety tasks.
• Operate food service vehicles to deliver meals to school sites.
• Expedite incoming/outgoing food to locations as required.
• Process freight and complete related paperwork.
• Lift and stock freight; keep storage areas neat and clean.
• Operate a pallet jack and lift up to 70 pounds.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Adhere to District policies and regulations.
