Job summary

Rowan-Salisbury Schools Corriher Lipe Middle School in Landis, North Carolina, is seeking a School Treasurer to manage payroll, purchasing, and general accounting. Reports to the Principal with an immediate start.

You will handle daily payroll processing, vendor payments, and financial recordkeeping in accordance with school policies and state regulations. Strong bookkeeping and knowledge of charts of accounts required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Accuracy and completeness for all payroll and financial processing is essential.
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping/accounting is required.
• Understanding of NC School Uniform Chart of Accounts is required.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local purchasing requirements is required.

Responsibilities

• Payroll: daily payroll processing of absences and time adjustments.
• Purchasing and payables: issue purchase orders and ensure proper approvals and compliance.
• General accounting: balance bank statements and monitor ledgers; manage grants and budget amendments.
• General office: handle clerical duties and correspondence; maintain records and reports.
