Job summary

The Southeastern California Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists is seeking a Maintenance Worker to maintain and repair buildings, school vehicles, and equipment on campus. You will perform inspections to ensure safety across the grounds and handle preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, setting up seating for events, and operating a variety of tools. A California driver’s license is required, and basic computer skills are expected for record-keeping.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of basic construction methods and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and follow written/oral instructions.
• Californian driver license is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate under the direction of the Business Manager and Principal according to work orders.
• Perform general building maintenance including repairs, painting, plumbing, electrical, roofing, carpentry, concrete and welding.
• Inspect buildings and grounds to prevent safety hazards and perform preventive maintenance.
• Operate maintenance equipment and tools; maintain school vehicles.
• Set up tables, chairs, and gym tarp for events; manage inventory.
• Complete safety checklists and report to the safety coordinator.
