Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across its facilities, Tiny Home units, and site infrastructure. You will identify maintenance needs, complete timely repairs, document activities, and coordinate with vendors to keep buildings, systems, and equipment safe and compliant for participants and staff.

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in building or facilities maintenance.
Valid California Class C Driver's License with acceptable driving history.
High school diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and health department requirements.
Experience working with homeless populations or social service environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Tiny Home units, buildings, equipment, and site infrastructure.
Repair and replace doors, locks, windows, flooring, and fixtures as needed.
Install and maintain HVAC equipment and basic building systems.
Conduct regular inspections of units, offices, restrooms, and site assets.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely, professional manner.
Document work orders, logs, and inventory records.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors as directed by management.
