Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District seeks a facilities supervisor responsible for custodial and maintenance activities at an elementary school facility. You will oversee custodial staff and contractors, ensure a clean, safe environment, and supervise daily operations.

The role requires two years of relevant maintenance experience and a high school diploma or GED. You will coordinate events, respond to emergencies, and contribute to safety and compliance district‑wide.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; two years of relevant maintenance experience or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license preferred/required for district vehicles and site access
• Supervisory principles and safety procedures knowledge
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee district custodial staff or contractors; prioritize and assign work; support evaluations and training.
• Inspect facilities to ensure systems operate properly and meet standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot district equipment and facilities; manage scheduling and security.
• Provide customer service to staff, administrators, parents, vendors, students and others.
• Coordinate events setup/teardown, move equipment, conduct preventive maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies and prepare relevant reports and logs.
• Assist in planning expansions/renovations; participate in design meetings.
• Staff coordination for after‑school athletics and events.
• Perform other duties of similar nature.
