Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree in School Facilities Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Building Construction Technology or related field and 1 year of relevant work experience; or 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for the one year of experience described.
• Priority given to Civil service Eligibility List for this title.
• Must be eligible to take the Civil Service Exam for this title.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling and assigning employees for cleaning, maintenance, repair, and security tasks.
• Assist in preparing the annual operating budget and estimates expenditures.
• Inspect building systems and coordination with contractors on maintenance work.
• Oversee grounds upkeep and maintenance of lawns, trees, and shrubs.
• Inspect for hazards and ensure compliance with safety codes.
