Job summary

Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and construction work across its facilities, grounds, and equipment.

The role requires hands-on work across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, doors, windows, roofing, and related systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, complete routine repairs, and coordinate with leadership and outside contractors as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in a school or institutional facilities environment preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Relevant trade licenses or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance throughout school buildings and grounds.
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, windows, roofing, and related systems.
• Carpentry, painting, drywall, hardware, flooring, and other general building repairs.
• Coordinate and assist contractors and vendors on school property as assigned.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with snow removal, leaks, and equipment failures.
