Job summary

MAAC Community Charter School in California seeks a Maintenance Worker II to perform a broad range of facility upkeep, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC tasks to keep our buildings safe and functional for students aged 14–24.

Under general supervision, you will plan and complete preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment failures, coordinate repairs and help respond to emergencies, while maintaining compliant records and prioritizing safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required with technical training in a building trade.
• Two years or more in skilled maintenance work.
• Experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on property.
• Troubleshoots issues, maintains, services and repairs equipment.
• Ensures plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning units are in good repair and compliant with regulations.
• Develops and prioritizes plans for facility enhancements and repairs; reports progress and issues to supervisor.
• Schedules work to meet maintenance and cleaning needs of properties.
