Job summary

Qualifications

• Reading and understanding instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building/grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy objects.
• Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cleaning schedule including floors, chalkboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms.
• Keep school building and grounds neat and clean (sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, play areas).
• Comply with local laws for storage and disposal of trash; assist in inventory of supplies.
• Assist with lunchroom setup and safe equipment placement; participate in facility setup for events.
• Follow safety procedures; inspect machines; report unsafe conditions or major repairs to the principal.
