Job summary

Anderson School District 3 is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support district buildings and facilities. The role involves skilled maintenance, repairs, and preventive work to ensure safe, functional schools and operations across the district.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting major systems, coordinating with the Director of Maintenance, and performing routine inspections while following safety procedures and district policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• General knowledge of operation and maintenance of a school facility.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision and knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and skilled maintenance, repairs, and improvements to district buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other facility-related systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections to identify potential problems and extend facility life.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to keep facilities safe and operational.
• Assist with installation, replacement, and repair of equipment, fixtures, doors, and plumbing/electrical components.
• Receive and execute work orders from the Director of Maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and codes while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure certifications are kept current.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior administration.
