• Basic knowledge of building systems, safety procedures, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Basic computer skills for work orders and communication.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Auto mechanic skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs of school buildings and facilities.
• Monitor HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical, and other building systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs.
• Set up rooms and equipment for school events.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
• Ensure safety compliance and fire codes.
• Identify and report facility hazards or security concerns.
• Assist with snow removal and weather preparedness.
• Support custodial operations as needed.
• Maintain maintenance records and work orders.
• Provide professional interactions with students, staff, and visitors.
• Work on cars and buses in shop; support transportation.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
