Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of facilities maintenance experience, preferably in a school setting.
• Direct school plant operations experience preferred.
• Valid Maryland driver's license required.
• Proficient in basic computer use, reporting, and office applications.
• Certifications in plumbing, HVAC, or general contracting are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and supervises routine maintenance and daily operations of the school's physical plant and grounds.
• Inspects facilities and develops action plans to correct deficiencies and initiates work orders.
• Initiates work orders with cost estimates in CMMS and tracks completion of tasks.
• Maintains Building Maintenance Plan and BMP documentation.
• Checks boiler room and reports repairs as needed.
• Instructs staff in proper use of maintenance equipment and distributes materials.
• Coordinates security, access, and status with school administration.
