Job summary

The Cleveland Academy of Leadership in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Head Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment. You will open the building each morning, inspect for overnight issues, and secure the facility after daily activities, including PD days.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and several years of housekeeping experience. Reports to the Principal and collaborates with custodial staff to ensure readiness for students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Opening the building each morning and securing it at the end of the day as directed by the Principal.
• Inspecting the entire area for problems that may have arisen overnight.
• Cleaning halls, cafeteria, gym, restrooms and exterior areas before students arrive.
• Checking exits and lighting and reporting or addressing issues as needed.
• Assisting in setting up furniture for special events and keeping areas neat.
