Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Lead to oversee facility operations at an assigned site. The Lead delegates tasks, provides guidance, and supervises when the Manager is away. The role involves operating equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and supporting general janitorial duties to keep buildings safe and clean.

The position emphasizes leadership, communication with management, and training of new hires while ensuring timely schedules and quality results across the team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow site schedules and route cards; report barriers.
• Provide leadership and direction to team members.
• Maintain open communication between field staff and management.
• Assist with daily and weekly work schedules.
• Oversee cleaning operations in the assigned building.
• Manage keys and access cards for the property.
• Report damaged items and out-of-service features.
• Oversee and handle additional service requests in the building.
• Ensure quality of work and confirm completion with Area Manager.
• Train new hires per onboarding procedures.
• Complete and validate time records for employees.
