Job summary

St James School District R1 in Saint James, Missouri seeks a Substitute Custodian to support daily cleaning operations across district facilities. You will perform custodial tasks, follow directions, and assist with facility maintenance as needed.

Starting Date: Immediately. This is a substitute position reporting to the Building and Grounds Director, with responsibilities including cleaning classrooms, corridors, and restrooms, and assisting with event setups when required.

• Skilled at cleaning and custodial responsibilities.
• Able to listen to and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Keep buildings neat and clean at all times.
• Sweep classrooms daily and dust furniture.
• Clean corridors daily.
• Disinfect toilets and sanitize fixtures daily.
• Wash windows inside/out as needed.
• Maintain floors in good condition.
• Clean whiteboards weekly.
• Report damages to Custodial Lead.
• Move furniture as required for activities.
• Set up spaces for events during the week/weekends.
• Work weekends as needed to meet district schedules.
• Assist with minor repairs and report major ones.
• Comply with waste disposal procedures.
