Job summary

Propel Schools is seeking a Custodian for its Facilities Department at Propel Homestead. The role, available immediately, offers an hourly rate of $18 and year-round work. The Custodian will join the Facilities Team reporting to the Director of Facilities.

The ideal candidate is 18+, with reliable transportation, and able to perform physically demanding janitorial tasks and some outside work. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lift up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties: cleaning and sanitizing the school facility and grounds.
• Clean floors, windows, woodwork, furniture and equipment; mop, sweep, polish, wax as needed.
• Clean restrooms and ensure supplies (towels, soap) are stocked.
• Collect and dispose of trash; perform unskilled maintenance.
• Perform outdoor tasks: cleaning walks, mowing lawns, snow/ice removal.
