Job summary

Propel Schools is seeking a Floating Custodian to support the Montour and Northside campuses. The role involves janitorial duties, cleaning and maintenance, with a starting rate of $18 per hour. It requires reliable transportation and is year-round work under the Facilities Team.

The custodian will perform cleaning tasks, participate in light maintenance, and help with outdoor grounds care as needed, reporting to the Director of Facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from campuses.
• Ability to perform strenuous manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must follow instructions and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Wipe, sweep, dust, mop, wash, vacuum, polish, and wax floors.
• Clean windows, woodwork, furniture, and equipment.
• Clean rest-room facilities and keep supplies stocked.
• Collect and dispose of trash from buildings and grounds.
• Perform unskilled maintenance work.
• Perform outside work such as cleaning walks, mowing, and snow/ice removal.
