Job summary

Propel Schools is seeking a Floating Custodian to support the Montour and Northside campuses. The position involves cleaning, sanitizing, and basic maintenance across sites.

The role pays $18/hr and runs year round, with duties including floor care, window cleaning, restroom upkeep, trash removal, and outdoor work as needed. Candidate must be at least 18 years old, with reliable transportation and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older to apply.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow instructions, verbal or written.
• Ability to work independently with supervisor support.
• General knowledge of housekeeping, tools, equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties including cleaning and sanitizing facilities and grounds.
• Wipe, sweep, mop, wash, vacuum, polish and wax floors; clean windows and furniture.
• Maintain rest-room facilities with supplies.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Perform unskilled maintenance tasks.
• Perform outdoor work such as lawn mowing and snow/ice removal.
