Job summary

Lewiston Public Schools is seeking a custodian to maintain the district's school facilities in a state of readiness, ensuring uninterrupted educational operations.

The role involves cleaning, inventory tasks, assisting the public using facilities, and performing seasonal grounds work. Includes potential summer duties and adherence to district policies. We offer a robust benefits package for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to write routine correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Performs seasonal grounds work (snow, lawn).
• Cleans and preserves designated spaces, equipment etc in the building.
• Restocks disposable items and provides supervisor with inventory usage and data.
• Assists visiting public utilizing the facilities with directions within building and in obtaining and setting up needed equipment.
• Maintains building and grounds security in the building.
• During summer months move furniture, strip, scrub & wax floors, and return furniture.
• Other duties may be assigned.
