Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools Coleman Middle - Duluth, Georgia is hiring a Custodian to maintain clean, safe school facilities. You will follow the GCPS Custodial Care Program, use approved products, and support teamwork within the custodial team.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read and follow English instructions. Preference given to those with prior industrial cleaning experience and a valid Georgia driver‘s license.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in industrial or commercial cleaning preferred.
• GCPS Custodial Care Program knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned school facilities in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition according to GCPS Custodial Care Program instructions.
• Perform cleaning tasks on the schedule provided by the supervisor using approved chemicals and equipment.
• Keep custodial tools and equipment clean, safe, and in good working condition.
• Open and secure facilities or grounds areas as instructed by supervisory staff.
• Suggest improved cleaning practices and assist in evaluations with Environmental and Supply Services.
