Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a Custodian to maintain clean and sanitary school facilities under GCPS guidelines. The role requires following safety instructions and working within a custodial team to ensure designated areas meet high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities include performing scheduled cleaning tasks, using approved products, maintaining tools, and assisting in evaluations of better practices.

Qualifications

• GCPS Custodial Care Program knowledge and ability to perform tasks
• Ability to read and follow safety and product labels
• Ability to work effectively as part of a custodial team

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas of school facilities in a clean, sanitary condition and perform duties per the GCPS Custodial Care Program instructions
• Perform scheduled custodial tasks as directed by the supervisor
• Utilize approved chemicals, supplies and equipment for custodial tasks
• Maintain custodial tools and equipment in safe, clean condition
• Open and secure facilities or grounds as instructed
• Suggest and evaluate improved cleaning practices and tools with Environmental and Supply Services
• Maintain positive working relationships with team and staff and perform other duties as assigned
