Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a Custodian for Crews Middle in Lawrenceville, GA to maintain clean, safe facilities and support the Custodial Care Program. The role requires adherence to GCPS policies and collaboration with supervisors and staff.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic English literacy, and prior cleaning experience. Physical duties include lifting, standing, and operating custodial equipment in a dynamic school environment.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required.
Valid Georgia Class C Driver's License preferred.
Industrial or commercial cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain assigned school facilities in clean, sanitary, and orderly condition per GCPS Custodial Care Program and supervisor instructions.
Perform scheduled custodial tasks proficiently as directed.
Use approved chemicals, supplies, and equipment per GCPS policies.
Keep custodial tools and equipment clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Open and secure facilities or grounds as instructed by supervision.
Suggest improved cleaning practices and assist evaluation of products/tools.
Maintain positive, cooperative relationships with team and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
