Job summary

Saginaw Intermediate School District is seeking a dedicated custodial professional to support a clean, safe, and presentable facility. The role involves cleaning duties across offices, restrooms, and common areas, plus event setup and CMMS entries.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of custodial experience, the ability to lift 75 pounds, and comfort around students with disabilities. Drug screening and background checks are required; this is a full-time position in Michigan.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years custodial work.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working in the presence of students with disabilities.
• Demonstrated responsibility.
• Drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the building for daily operations and use security systems.
• Clean assigned areas per schedules (offices, common areas, restrooms, kitchens, cafeterias).
• Use prescribed methods for trash removal, sweeping, mopping, polishing surfaces, windows, and mirrors.
• Operate equipment such as auto scrubbers, carpet machines, and pressure washers.
• Set up, tear down, and arrange equipment for public events.
• Follow diagrams and written or verbal instructions.
• Proficient with computers and handheld devices.
• Work outdoors in inclement weather for seasonal duties.
• Load/unload supplies and assist with shipments.
• Enter work orders into the CMMS.
• Other duties as assigned by Facilities Director.
