Job summary

Gecs Inc is seeking a Custodian to clean and maintain assigned areas, supporting students, teachers and staff to keep facilities safe and presentable. You will work with the Lead Custodian on a variety of maintenance tasks and may be assigned to special projects.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid Michigan driver's license with insurance. Prior custodial experience is preferred; you should be able to operate cleaning equipment and lift and move items as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to drive between worksites.

Responsibilities

• Keeps assigned areas neat and clean per district standards.
• Operates cleaning and maintenance equipment as appropriate.
• Maintains equipment and reports repairs to Lead Custodian.
• Drives district-owned or personal vehicles between facilities as needed.
• Ensures safety and security of buildings and premises.
