Job summary

Cherokee County School District - GA is seeking a dedicated custodian to maintain a clean and safe school environment. The position is salaried but non-exempt and follows the district's 218-day work year schedule.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning and basic maintenance across district facilities. The successful candidate will follow safety procedures, operate cleaning equipment, and collaborate with the Head Custodian and administration to ensure facilities support students and staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic experience in cleaning and facility maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and climb ladders as needed.
• Must follow written and oral instructions and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Accept direction from Head Custodian, Supervisor, or Administrator.
• Perform custodial and preventative maintenance duties in all areas/locations.
• Clean woodwork, walls, furniture, and windows with approved materials.
• Mop, scrub, strip, wax, shampoo, vacuum, and spot-clean carpets and floors.
